Your Precinct Committeeman

I'm Lori Billaud and I'm running to be

your Precinct Committeeman for 1001.

About Lori

I care deeply about the future of Star and am committed to strengthening local involvement in the political process.  Serving as Precinct Committeeman for 1001 will allow me to connect with neighbors, share important election information, and better understand the issues that matter to you most.  I will advocate for our community by communicating your concerns - and your support - to the Mayor, City Council and our District 10 legislators.  I am dedicated to ensuring Star continues to have a strong conservative voice!

As a Precinct Committeeman, my goals are to:

Improve Communication with Precinct Voters: As a  resident of Star, ID, I believe strong communities are engaged and informed on a regular basis, not just election time.  I want our precinct to be well-informed and connected.

* I will  launch a proactive outreach program to engage out community and fill a critical gap in local communication and representation that currently exists.

* I'm a member of the CanAda Republican Women in our neighborhood and have supported Idaho Young Republicans.

Represent Our Precinct at the City Level: I have been attending the District 10 monthly meetings and Star City Council Meetings since 2024.  PCs play an important role in building strong grassroots leadership and helping ensure the party stays connected to the people it represents.

Lori's Service in Star:

I have lived in Northwest Ada County since 2020 and retired as a teacher in Star in 2024.  I am dedicated to serving the community of Star.

* As a new member of the City of Star Beautification Committee, I will work to enhance the beauty of our city and create a 'hometown' atmosphere for all to enjoy.

* I also serve as a Star Lions Club Board Member, managing programs like the Mayor's Scholarship Program and the Patriotic Essay Contest at Star Elementary. Additionally, I actively volunteer for community events, including the honoring veterans at Star Cemetery with flags on Memorial Day, and Veterans Day, Wreaths Across America, Eggstravaganza,  Fishing Rodeo with the Star Police and more.

* As a member of the Friends of the Star Library I have volunteered at special events for the kids such as Winter Wonderland and Candtland Day.

Together, we can make Star an even better place to live!

Lori's Experience with Legislators

I have had the opportunity to testify on several occasions before both the Idaho State Senate Education Committee and the Idaho House of Representatives Commerce and Human Resource Committee advocating for conservative policies that strengthen and support our community.

These experiences have given me firsthand understanding of the legislative process and reinforced my commitment to being a strong, informed voice for local families.
