About Me.

As a recently retired National Board Certified teacher and a committed member of the Star community, I am excited to bring my passion for education and community service to the role of Ada County Free Library Trustee.

With over 25 years of experience, I have devoted my life to nurturing children and fostering a love for reading. I understand the profound, positive impact that access to literature can have on individuals, from youngsters to seniors, and families from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.

I look forward to the library's mission of enriching our community through reading and learning.

As a Library Trustee, my goals are to:

Strengthening community connections: I am impressed by the outstanding programs offered by our libraries and aim to further bridge the connection between community and the library thorough schools, senior centers, and the places of need.

Understanding governance: I am committed to thoroughly reviewing proposed policies and fully upholding the laws governing the roles of trustees, as well as the regulations that apply to Ada County Libraries.

Ensuring financial responsibility: I will focus on maintaining the library's financial stability and ensuring that every tax dollar is spent wisely and transparently.

Respecting all stakeholders: I will show respect for all members of the public, fellow trustees, library staff, and directors.

Building relationships with staff: I will prioritize connecting with the staff at the Hidden Springs, Lake Hazel, Star, and Victory Branches, as well as the Connect Branch mobile unit to foster a collaborative environment.
